What it is
Epi-Pet K-9 Care Sunscreen is a 3.5-ounce spray labeled for dogs and horses. The manufacturer describes it as water-resistant and gives a human SPF 30+ equivalent, while noting that an SPF value does not appear on the pet label. Its directions say to apply liberally, avoid the eyes, work it into the skin and coat, and give extra attention to the face, muzzle, nose, and ear flaps. The manufacturer FAQ recommends reapplying every two hours in the sun and after swimming.

The official product page specifically identifies white and light-colored dogs as more susceptible to sunburn and sun-related skin disease. This is not human or baby sunscreen, a product for cats, or permission to extend time in intense sun.
