What it is
The Noxgear LightHound is a dog harness with built-in LED fiber-optic lighting and reflective material. Noxgear's official product page describes it as giving 360-degree visibility up to a quarter mile, with six flashing modes and solid color options. The light runs on a rechargeable battery that Noxgear rates at 12 hours, and a USB-C charging cable is included. The harness base is cut from a single piece of CORDURA nylon, which Noxgear calls strong, breathable, and easy to clean. The light unit comes out so the harness can go in the washing machine. Noxgear sells it in four sizes by weight (under 15 lb, 14 to 45 lb, 40 to 95 lb, and 90 lb and up), adjustable at the neck and chest, and says to size by chest girth measured behind the front legs. Treat those statements as the maker's own wording, checked against the live official Noxgear page on 2026-09-29 ET, not as independent test results.
Why it matters for a light-coat Lab puppy
This category looks for reflective details, hardware that tolerates wet Florida walks, and gear that cleans without becoming a second hobby. Florida walks often happen before sunrise or after dusk to avoid the heat, which is when drivers and cyclists need to see the dog. A lit, reflective harness covers that. Being able to pull the light unit and machine-wash the harness matters on a white-coated dog, because sand, mud, and stain residue on gear rub back onto the coat.
